Austin Pool Bros vs Pool Scouts of Austin

I'm Shane. I live in Barton Creek, and I run Austin Pool Bros with Logan. I wrote these pages, so they are biased. I will still tell you when I would hire the other company. The question that matters is what is inside the monthly price, and whether that truck is actually on your street every week.

Short version

  • Pool Scouts has real pages for Barton Creek, West Lake Hills, and Rollingwood. That is why they show up.
  • The Austin location is independently owned. Their maintenance page names Teri Rowe. The brand is still a franchise.
  • Their Austin FAQ says most weekly plans are around $75 a week. The neighborhood pages still say request a quote.
  • Hire Austin Pool Bros if you want a non-franchise company, tax and card fees inside the rate, and the same on-the-way text and after-visit photo. Hire them if you want the written refund.

The pages are the product of a system

Pool Scouts ranks because the franchise publishes a page per neighborhood. The cleaning can still be good. The Austin owner is a real person on their site, not a call center. Judge the quote, not the template.

We do not match the refund language on their West Lake Hills page: come back, then refund the service if you are still unhappy. If you need that sentence to try someone, they published it and we did not.

  1. 1. Austin Pool Bros

    Best for
An all-in monthly number from a company that is not a franchise.
    Price
Online intro price from your address and pool. Chemicals, taxes, and credit card fees are included. The ongoing rate is confirmed after we see the pool.
    Where they fit
Weekly routes in Austin, West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, Barton Creek, Spanish Oaks, Bee Cave & Lakeway. We do not list Spicewood, Steiner Ranch, River Place, Four Points, or Cedar Park as primary service areas.

$75 a week is about $300 a month before you know what is included. Put our quote beside their written quote, not beside the FAQ average. Chemicals, tax, and card fees are the lines that make those numbers lie. The texts and the photos are not. We send those too.

I do not want you hiring someone else because you think we skip the picture or the text. Here is the actual week. When Logan, or whoever is on your route, opens directions, you get a note that we are on the way. If the phone has a location, that note includes how long until we get there. You get another one when we check in at the house. When we are done, the email has a photo of the pool, the chemistry, and a note from the person who was there. The rest of the photos and short videos stay in your portal, so you or your house manager can look back later. If the house manager is the contact on the account, that email goes to them. Turn texts on in the portal if you want them on your phone. The email is already on unless you shut it off.

Barton Creek, West Lake Hills, and Rollingwood pages. Phone 512-831-5595.

Hire them for the system. Ask how long this owner has had Austin, and whether your neighborhood is a set day. A page is not a route.

Who we would hire

If you want the price before a form, start with us. You still get a text when we are on the way and a photo when we leave.

If you want their refund clause and the numbers are close, keep them. That sentence is theirs. The picture is not the reason to leave us.

What to do today

  1. 1Read the neighborhood page, then the FAQ price, and treat them as two different levels of certainty.
  2. 2Get our intro price.
  3. 3Ask Pool Scouts to match chemicals, tax, and card fees in one number.
  4. 4Pick the company whose weekday is real.
