Austin Pool Bros vs YardDoc
I'm Shane. I live in Barton Creek, and I run Austin Pool Bros with Logan. I wrote these pages, so they are biased. I will still tell you when I would hire the other company. The question that matters is what is inside the monthly price, and whether that truck is actually on your street every week.
Short version
- YardDoc shows up because they publish a page for Rollingwood, Spanish Oaks, Tarrytown, and a long list of other cities.
- They are based in West Lake Hills, at 4407 Bee Caves Road. That part is local.
- They do not publish a monthly rate. They do promise an email summary and CPO techs.
- Hire Austin Pool Bros if you want the number online. Hire YardDoc if you want that shop and their chemistry software pitch, after you see a price.

A nearby office and a lot of city pages
YardDoc is more local on paper than Clean Pool Squad or a north Austin shop. Bee Caves Road is the right side of town. The neighborhood pages also share a template: the same service list, the same email summary, a different city name at the top. Some of them name real streets. Tarrytown mentions Exposition, Windsor, and Pecos. That is better than a blank title.
A template is not a lie. It is a reason to ask whether your city is a route or a page. We would ask them that in Rollingwood, Spanish Oaks, and Tarrytown before we hired them over a priced quote.
1. Austin Pool Bros
- Best for
- You want a price before you visit a suite on Bee Caves Road.
- Price
- Online intro price from your address and pool. Chemicals, taxes, and credit card fees are included. The ongoing rate is confirmed after we see the pool.
- Where they fit
- Weekly routes in Austin, West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, Barton Creek, Spanish Oaks, Bee Cave & Lakeway. We do not list Spicewood, Steiner Ranch, River Place, Four Points, or Cedar Park as primary service areas.
If YardDoc's quote comes back as one all-in number and the day is right, they are a serious option. Until then, our quote is the number you can see. Their email summary is not a feature you lose by hiring us. You get the photo, the chemistry, and a note, and you can text-enable the on-the-way alert.
I do not want you hiring someone else because you think we skip the picture or the text. Here is the actual week. When Logan, or whoever is on your route, opens directions, you get a note that we are on the way. If the phone has a location, that note includes how long until we get there. You get another one when we check in at the house. When we are done, the email has a photo of the pool, the chemistry, and a note from the person who was there. The rest of the photos and short videos stay in your portal, so you or your house manager can look back later. If the house manager is the contact on the account, that email goes to them. Turn texts on in the portal if you want them on your phone. The email is already on unless you shut it off.
See your intro price2. YardDoc
- Best for
- You want a West Lake Hills shop and an email after every visit.
- Price
- Ask. CPO techs, background checks, and chemistry tracking are what they advertise instead of a rate.
- Where they fit
- Strongest overlap with us on Rollingwood, Spanish Oaks, and Tarrytown pages, plus the cities they list around them.
Hire them if the office location and the CPO line matter to you and the price is competitive. Do not hire them only because there is a page with your neighborhood in the URL.

Who we would hire
Get our quote first so you have a full number. Get theirs second.
If they will not say whether chemicals and card fees are included, stay with the quote you can read.
What to do today
- 1Pick the neighborhood page that matches you, not their Travis County sentence.
- 2Ask for a weekday and a monthly total.
- 3Compare it to our intro price.
- 4Prefer the company that answers both.
