A YardDoc alternative
I'm Shane. I live in Barton Creek, and I run Austin Pool Bros with Logan. I wrote these pages, so they are biased. I will still tell you when I would hire the other company. The question that matters is what is inside the monthly price, and whether that truck is actually on your street every week.
Short version
- YardDoc's neighborhood pages do not list a rate. That is the usual reason to look for an alternative.
- Austin Pool Bros will show an intro price online for the cities we actually list.
- Stay if their West Lake Hills crew already knows the pool and the email reports are enough.
- A Bee Caves Road office is a real advantage. Do not throw it away for a small gap.
Monthly number tonight
- YardDoc
- Ask them.
- Austin Pool Bros
- Online quote.
Shop on Bee Caves Road
- YardDoc
- Yes. Suite 513.
- Austin Pool Bros
- Service routes, not that storefront.
Spanish Oaks or Tarrytown page
- YardDoc
- Yes.
- Austin Pool Bros
- Spanish Oaks is a named area. Tarrytown needs a route check.
The alternative is the price, not a closer office
If YardDoc is already on your street from a West Lake Hills base, we are not automatically closer. We are the alternative when you cannot compare their bill to a chemicals-included rate. Get the number from them first. You may be done.
1. Austin Pool Bros
- Best for
- You want chemicals, tax, and card fees in a quote you can read without a call.
- Price
- Online intro price from your address and pool. Chemicals, taxes, and credit card fees are included. The ongoing rate is confirmed after we see the pool.
- Where they fit
- Weekly routes in Austin, West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, Barton Creek, Spanish Oaks, Bee Cave & Lakeway. We do not list Spicewood, Steiner Ranch, River Place, Four Points, or Cedar Park as primary service areas.
Use it as the measuring stick. If YardDoc writes the same kind of number and it is close, keep the tech who knows the equipment. Their email summary is not something you only get from them. We email the photo and the chemistry, and the portal keeps the rest.
I do not want you hiring someone else because you think we skip the picture or the text. Here is the actual week. When Logan, or whoever is on your route, opens directions, you get a note that we are on the way. If the phone has a location, that note includes how long until we get there. You get another one when we check in at the house. When we are done, the email has a photo of the pool, the chemistry, and a note from the person who was there. The rest of the photos and short videos stay in your portal, so you or your house manager can look back later. If the house manager is the contact on the account, that email goes to them. Turn texts on in the portal if you want them on your phone. The email is already on unless you shut it off.
See your intro price2. Keep YardDoc
- Best for
- The email summary is working and they will match an all-in format.
- Price
- Whatever they put in writing.
- Where they fit
- Rollingwood, Spanish Oaks, Tarrytown, and the other cities on their list, if the day is real.
Their CPO and background-check pitch matters if that was your requirement. We do not put a CPO badge on the homepage.

What we would do
Ask YardDoc for the monthly total in one sentence: chemicals, tax, card fee, filter cleaning.
If that sentence does not come back clear, use our quote.
What to do today
- 1Request their number in writing.
- 2Get ours the same day if you are in a listed city.
- 3Prefer the route that is already there when the prices match.
- 4Do not switch because a different website has more pages.
