A Sullivan's Pool Service alternative

I'm Shane. I live in Barton Creek, and I run Austin Pool Bros with Logan. I wrote these pages, so they are biased. I will still tell you when I would hire the other company. The question that matters is what is inside the monthly price, and whether that truck is actually on your street every week.

Short version

  • Look for an alternative if the size tier does not match the pool in front of you, or filter cleaning at $150 keeps showing up.
  • Austin Pool Bros prices debris and floor cleaning, and includes tax and card fees.
  • Stay if they assigned the right size, the same tech is coming, and the bill matches the chart.
  • Their chart is a gift. Use it even if you leave.

Do not leave a clear price for a vague one

Sullivan's is easy to compare because they published the rate. An alternative has to beat that full month, not hide behind 'contact us.' That is the standard we are holding ourselves to.

  1. 1. Austin Pool Bros

    Best for
The size chart and your yard disagree, or you want card fees inside the rate.
    Price
Online intro price from your address and pool. Chemicals, taxes, and credit card fees are included. The ongoing rate is confirmed after we see the pool.
    Where they fit
Weekly routes in Austin, West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, Barton Creek, Spanish Oaks, Bee Cave & Lakeway. We do not list Spicewood, Steiner Ranch, River Place, Four Points, or Cedar Park as primary service areas.

Put our quote next to their tier plus any filter cleaning you actually buy. If we are not lower on that full month, stay. Their written note is a real thing. So is our email: a photo, the chemistry, and a note, plus a text when we are on the way.

I do not want you hiring someone else because you think we skip the picture or the text. Here is the actual week. When Logan, or whoever is on your route, opens directions, you get a note that we are on the way. If the phone has a location, that note includes how long until we get there. You get another one when we check in at the house. When we are done, the email has a photo of the pool, the chemistry, and a note from the person who was there. The rest of the photos and short videos stay in your portal, so you or your house manager can look back later. If the house manager is the contact on the account, that email goes to them. Turn texts on in the portal if you want them on your phone. The email is already on unless you shut it off.

  2. 2. Keep Sullivan's

    Best for
The tech is consistent and the invoice matches $275, $300, or $325.
    Price
    The chart you already have.
    Where they fit
West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, Barton Creek.

A published price you understand is worth more than a new brand. Switch for a reason you can point at.

What we would do

Re-read their size definitions before you shop. Under 400 square feet, 400 to 600, over 600.

Get our quote only after you know which tier they put you in.

What to do today

  1. 1Circle the last invoice against the chart.
  2. 2If it matches and the pool looks right, stay.
  3. 3If it does not, get our intro price.
  4. 4Switch for the full-month gap, not for variety.
